Reliancepier is a boutique advisory practice led by Harinder Singh. No account managers, no hand-offs to junior staff — the senior person you brief is the one accountable for your project, from the first decision through to handover.
To be the independent advisor New Zealand turns to when a project matters most — measured not by the size of our portfolio, but by the trust we earn.
Reliancepier is an independent project delivery and technical assurance practice, based in Auckland and working across New Zealand. We help developers, contractors and public-sector teams shape, de-risk and deliver infrastructure and residential projects — from feasibility and consenting through to construction.
We work in the complexity between a good intention and a built outcome — the regulatory, commercial and stakeholder detail that decides how a project actually turns out. We bring clarity and control to that middle ground: the sequencing, the contracts, the consenting path, and the decisions that are easy to defer and expensive to get wrong.
We are deliberately small. Every engagement is led personally by our principal, with senior specialists brought in only where they add value — the judgement of someone who has delivered at scale, without the layers or overhead of a large firm.
Projects rarely fail for lack of effort. They fail in the fog. Our first job is to make the picture clear enough to act on.
Open reasoning and plain language, so you understand your own project and the decision always stays yours.
Every project lands in a community and a landscape. We hold that in view alongside programme and cost — not after them.
Harinder leads Reliancepier, giving clients direct access to senior delivery experience — the person accountable for the work, doing the work. He has spent more than eleven years leading complex residential and infrastructure projects across New Zealand, from feasibility and design through procurement and into construction.
That experience runs deep on both sides of the table: client-side, owning programmes worth $190m and more through to funding and ministerial approval; and delivery-side, coordinating design and construction inside some of Auckland's most demanding builds. It reaches into the commercial detail too — tender evaluation, NZS3910 contract administration, and value management that protects a budget without gutting the outcome.
That judgement — technical, commercial and human — is what Reliancepier brings to every engagement. Not advice from the outside, but ownership of the outcome.
The Principal's experience, and the depth it brings to every engagement. When a project needs more hands, we bring in like-minded, experienced people who work to the same standard.
Figures reflect the value of work the Principal was personally accountable for, in the role stated. Project names are used only where confirmed for public reference; others are described by scale and sector to respect client confidentiality.
However we're brought in, the work follows the same arc. The three ways to engage us map onto a single delivery journey.
Read the project, test the idea, surface the risks that matter.
Brief, delivery model and consenting path, set up to succeed.
Tender, evaluate and contract on terms that hold.
Programme, cost and risk under a steady hand, through to a clean handover.
An independent eye that keeps a programme honest.
Senior capacity embedded, on call when you need it.
Reliancepier is principal-led and deliberately lean. From time to time we bring in specialist secondees for a specific engagement, and we partner with trusted consultants and contractors on larger pieces of work.
We're always glad to hear from experienced delivery, advisory and property people who share our approach — senior, independent-minded, and genuinely accountable for outcomes. If that sounds like you, start a conversation at hello@reliancepier.co.nz.
